Early in the last century a revival of interest in folk music led some of our foremost composers to collect and arrange traditional songs. Examples include Vaughan Williams, Holst, Grainger, Warlock and Britten. In this concert we will feature arrangements harmonised for male voices. Some of these skilful and charming arrangements are undeservedly seldom performed. We will also explore more recent and international contributions to this genre.
